Lights On Afterschool 2010

The Trust held our Annual Lights On Afterschool event at the DC Council Chambers with young people -- to raise awareness among local policymakers about the importance of after-school programs. This event is one of 7,500 across the country occurring that day as part of the 11th annual “Lights on After School,” celebrating the importance of after-school programs and sponsored by the After-School Alliance, a national nonprofit advocacy organization.  We were joined by Chairman Gray, Councilmember Alexander, Wells and Michael Brown as they presented the Trust with a Council Resolution.
