Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide celebration that highlights the importance of afterschool programs for youth, families and communities.  We were joined by Mayor Vincent C. Gray and dozens of others for a special DC event where youth from local organizations shined a light on how afterschool programs are impacting their lives and making their future bright!

Dozens of youth shared how their afterschool program has made a difference for them, then formed a "human light bulb" on the steps of the DC Council building. Featured programs included: CentroNia  and People Animal Love
