Effective Youth DevelopmentThe Trust oversees a number of special local initiatives, including supporting the District’s Effective Youth Development plan, aimed at engaging the District’s hardest-to-reach youth, ages 16 to 24, who are unemployed or out of school. The Trust supports the plan through grants, technical assistance and evaluation. In 2007, the Trust awarded $5.7 million in competitive grants to 15 organizations to work with older youth in non-traditional out-of-school settings. More> |
